Pre-School Curriculum Goals

Early Pre-Kinder and Pre-Kindergarten

At Saint Francis School, our Preschool Curriculum is thoughtfully designed as an integrated, play-based program where children learn and grow through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Teachers serve as guides and facilitators, creating a nurturing environment of harmony, exploration, and socialization that encourages curiosity and creativity.

Our approach is grounded in the belief that play is the foundation of early learning. Through interactive activities, storytelling, music, movement, art, and collaborative games, children naturally develop essential skills in the areas of:

  • Social-emotional growth: building friendships, sharing, and learning empathy.
  • Language and literacy: expanding vocabulary, listening comprehension, and early reading readiness.
  • Cognitive development: exploring numbers, patterns, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Fine and gross motor skills: strengthening coordination, balance, and self-care routines.

A distinctive feature of our program is the dual language model, which immerses students in both English and Spanish. This approach fosters bilingual communication and nurtures an appreciation for diverse cultures, laying the foundation for global citizenship from the earliest years.

In addition, our preschool integrates opportunities for music, art, movement, and technology to support multiple learning styles and keep students actively engaged. With a strong emphasis on creating a joyful and secure atmosphere, children are empowered to become confident, independent learners who see school as an exciting place of discovery.

Educating for a joyfullife starts here, with curiosity, creativity, and care.
